Hello PUBG Esports fans!
The year 2021 for the PUBG Esports APAC region ended with two (2) PCS championship titles belonging to Buriram United Esports (TH) – PCS4 & Bao Nam United (VN) – PCS5 respectively. In addition, five (5) other teams from the region, Buriram United Esports (TH), Attack All Around (TH), Bao Nam United (VN), FURY (OCE), GameHome Ha Dong (VN), and ArkAngel Predator (PH) also competed in the PUBG Global Championship 2021.
More Chicken Dinners are coming this 2022 with the roadmap of PUBG Esports APAC region this year.
OVERVIEW OF 2022
The first leg of 2022 starts with the PUBG Continental Series 6 (PCS6) in April. PCS6 qualifiers will start as early as February.
Before the start of PCS7, we will welcome the return of the PUBG Nations Cup. The tournament will feature a unique competition format that will surely become a fan favorite event for PUBG esports enthusiasts. Powerful players and stars in PUBG from different countries will squad up under their country’s flag in an opportunity to fight glory!
PUBG Continental Series 7 (PCS7) will return in September. Along with that, the qualifiers for PCS7 will be starting in July.
Capping off 2022, to end the year will be the biggest tournament, the PUBG Global Championship 2022 (PGC 2022) – the tournament to find the king of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
PCS APAC FORMAT
16 slots of PCS APAC will be divided as follows (applies to PCS6):
For now, slots will remain unchanged compared to PCS4 and PCS5 but we will continue to listen to the community and research to expand to other countries for the next PCS events.
ROAD TO PGC 2022
The PUBG Global Championship 2022 (PGC 2022) tournament is the pinnacle of what professional players aspire to be part of and the only way to realize this is to survive top of the Battlegrounds. Teams will earn PGC points based on their rankings from PUBG Continental Series 6 and 7.
- The champion of PUBG Continental Series 7 APAC (PCS7 APAC) automatically qualify for PGC 2022
- More PGC points can be earned in PCS7 compared to PCS6
- The qualification criteria for the remaining PGC slots in the APAC region will be announced at a later date.
